Software Engineering Consultancy

Some decisions are expensive to get wrong: the stack, the data model, whether to build or buy, and what to build first. I help founders and teams make them with someone who has made them before.

I co-founded Semicolon IT Solutions and served as its CTO, directing technical strategy, the engineering roadmap and delivery for a firm serving 50+ clients globally. I led 10–15 engineers across frontend, backend and QA, and put coding standards, code review, testing and agile processes in place.

Mentoring is part of the work. I've mentored more than 20 junior engineers and interns through code review and pairing, growing them into independent contributors on client projects.

Consultancy can be a one-off: choosing a technology, checking whether a product idea is feasible, or designing the database before any code is written. Or it can be ongoing: a development roadmap, architecture planning as the product grows, and regular reviews that keep engineering practices in shape.

With 8+ years building SaaS, ERP and FinTech systems, my advice comes from running software in production.
